images Life is a balance, it is a little bit of everything. You cannot know joy if you have not experienced sorrow. That is just the way it is. A true “student” of the martial arts is not looking to win a trophy or be the best at anything. They are looking to find out who they are. The warriors’ path is one of self discovery, discovery of mind, body and spirit.

Your Perception is Equal to your Reality – This is a great truth, the world is just as you will see it. If you look for joy you will find it. If you see happy people you will become one of them. If you look for conflict you will find it. What you perceive is what you get, it is your truth. Is the glass half empty or half full? If you are dramatic it is half empty, if you are optimistic it is half full. The truth is who care just drink the water.

Your Opinion is equal to your Illusions:  – We all have opinions and they are just this opinions. The beauty of an opinion is that we all have them. it does not make them right or wrong. But they do provide the illusion of your life. Want a better life? have a better opinion. What to be HAPPY?  LIKE MORE THINGS.

Your Love is equal to your Forgiveness – We all search for love and those who say they don’t are liars. It is a basic human need. If you want to bring love into your life you need to begin by forgiving yourself of any and all transgressions of your past. LET IT GO. Forgiveness of self is the most important thing. Forgiveness from others is only opinion. But your drama will prevent this unless you let go! The past is gone and the future will never arrive. When you forgive yourself you will find love beyond your wildest imagination. I know, it took a long time but I have.

The warriors path, the martial path is a means to an end. The end is self understanding and then someday self realization. No book or essay can give this to you. Only you can.

I was asked one how to see the beauty in life. Try opening your eyes and looking.
