Yesterday Saturday December 3rd 2016 we held our Kyusho Jitsu Black Belt Grading at Art Mason’s Peaceful Warriors’ Martial Art Institute on Tecumseh Road East in Windsor.
The grading was presided over by Master Riccardo Pappini and Master Louise St Jacques. I watched via Skype session. There were 3 graders, Nicole Sussens for 1st Dan, Rob Wiper and Ivor Chandler for 2nd Dan Black Belt.
For Nicole there was 2 parts to the exam. The first part is a written exam consisting of multiple choice, question and answer as well as a essay style portion. The time allowed to complete the exam is 90 minutes. This is followed by a practical, physical exam which also has a 90 minute time limit on it. But rarely takes that long with a single person grading for the rank.

The 2nd Dan grading is a straight 90 minute physical exam.
A grade point average on all tests is a minimum of 80% to pass.

Congratulation to the graders on an excellent performance at testing!
Kyusho Jitsu is a very important addition to any martial art style. At Art Mason’s Peaceful Warriors Martial Arts we treat it as a separate certification course, as well as integrating into our art. This January another session for beginning will be starting. Please see Master Rick for more information.
